ABC Far North - Rural Report On Ready for the Road
Charlie McKillop from ABC Far North is running a 5 day report on the benefits and advantages of the interactive learning package Visual Obsession recently designed and developed in collaboration with QLD Transport and Indigenous Lead Centre, a division of TAFE.
The interactive software and learning booklet package was developed in conjunction with Indigenous Lead Centre. Ready for the Road is aimed at low literacy, rural indigenous residents, to help them get their drivers licence and lower the rate of road accidents and unlawful driving in these communities.
The first report is uploaded onto the Visual Website on this page. Feel free to listen in as Charlie McKillop discusses with Frank Wojinski, manager of the state governments indigenous driving unit, how helpful the learning package is, and how much of an impact it has been making in Far Northern rural communities.
